James Paget Ambulatory Care Unit goes live with cloud-based EPR

The Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has gone live with a cloud-based EPR from PatientSource.

The solution was introduced at the Norfolk trust in March and means members of the ACU healthcare team will be able to simultaneously access patient data and track progress in real time, eliminating the possibility of misplaced patient records.

PatientSourceā€™s platform works on tablets, laptops and desktops without the need for installation.

Dr Michael Brooks, co-founder and chief medical officer of PatientSource, said: ā€œWe first put PatientSource into the Ambulatory Care Unit in 2016, and now we’re delighted to be able to formally re-launch in the expanded Ambulatory Care Unit at James Paget.

ā€œPatientSourceis a next generation cloud-based electronic medical record system which can scale from an independent single clinical practice to an entire hospital-wide solution.ā€

This latest go-live is PatientSourceā€™s first contract in the UK.

Previous contracts have been Saint Helena island in the South Atlantic Ocean and King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on the Falkland Islands.
