South Gloucestershire picks Mosaic
- 2 February 2017
South Gloucestershire Council have picked the Mosaic electronic system to handle its child service case management.
The South West England council has signed a five-year contract with Servelec Corelogic, with the option to extend the contract for a further two years.
In a statement, Servelec said it is replacing a range of legacy case management and payments system at the council with Mosaic. Instead of inputting data into multiple systems, council staff will only have to enter client data once into a single care record.
Mosaic will also integrate with the council’s current, and any future, adult case management systems.
Servelec Group chief executive, Alan Stubbs, said: “Working with South Gloucestershire Council to deliver a modern case management solution with Mosaic will provide care practitioners with a single data entry point to deliver a single view of the child across Children’s Services.”
Servelec acquired Corelogic, which developed Mosaic, in 2014 for £23 million.
At the time of the acquisition, Corelogic has 75,000 end users and its products were used by 58 customers worldwide. In the UK social care sector, Corelogic had a more than 20% market share, where its Corius reporting suite is also widely used.
In its Year End trading update on 24 January, Servelec Group said it saw the social care market, particularly with its Mosaic product, as an area of growth for 2017.
“In social care, the market remains strong and our strategy of making acquisitions to strengthen our product portfolio further is delivering additional contract wins as planned.”
Other Mosaic contract wins in the past year include Bournemouth County Council, States of Jersey and Dorset County Council.
