Northern Ireland entices Aura

Invest Northern Ireland is spending £80,000 to help Aura Healthcare set up a base in Belfast.

Chief executive of the business development agency Alastair Hamilton has announced that the Berkshire-based company will be creating 10 new high quality jobs in the region.

Invest NI has offered Aura £79,500 of support toward the new positions which it says will generate more than £300,000 annually in salaries.

“The high quality posts are in line with our focus on securing jobs that pay above the NI private sector median and will provide a welcome boost in terms of salaries and IT sector opportunities,” said Hamilton.

“Northern Ireland offers the company a unique opportunity to collaborate with leading clinical specialists, in the delivery of advanced healthcare solutions.”

Aura has already collaborated with the NI trust, Southern Health and Social Care, to develop a clinical noting application called Immix Note.

Aura Healthcare CEO Adrian Stevens said the company is expanding and Belfast stood out as a new location because of the combination of highly-skilled people, infrastructure, access to the healthcare sector and the availability of financial support from Invest NI.

“We are now recruiting for the 10 positions which include software development and software engineering posts with a view to having the Belfast office operational by September,” he added.
