System C named as top employer
- 9 March 2010
System C has been named as one of the top 100 employers in the UK. The healthcare IT software and services company won a place in the 2010 Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For survey, which was published this weekend.
It is the third time System C has made it into the list, where it was placed 52nd in the medium-sized companies category.
“We are delighted to be recognised,” said chief executive Ian Denley. “System C’s rapid growth over the past three years means it is judged for the first time as a medium-sized company, and has had the challenge of competing against large, household names.”
The Times highlighted System C’s low staff turnover and said the 70-question, anonymous survey on which the list is based showed that staff feel the company promots personal growth.
Denley pointed out that although System C now has 400 staff, only half are based in its offices, making this a significant achievement.
In recent years, System C has focused on providing integration services to the National Programme for IT in the NHS. However, its Medway patient management system is in use in some NHS trusts and the Isle of Man.
The company, which recently bought Liquidlogic, is also building clinical information systems – commonly known as Darzi Dashboards – for NHS Connecting for Health.
