Lorenzo R1.9 to debut at EHI event
- 20 October 2009
ISoft will be publicly showcasing the latest version of its strategic electronic patient record solution, Lorenzo, for the first time at E-Health Insider Live ’09.
ISoft product specialists will be demonstrating Lorenzo Care Management, also known as Release 1.9, during the exhibition and conference at The ICC in Birmingham on 9-10 November.
Company experts will also be demonstrating Viaduct for the first time in Europe. Viaduct is the integration engine developed by US-based BridgeForward, which was acquired by iSoft in August this year.
A spokesperson for iSoft said: “The company has not shown Lorenzo Care Management publicly before. Lorenzo Care Management offers rich clinical functionality that will sit with existing patient administration systems and other systems to support moves to a full EPR.
“It is a highly flexible approach to implementation, interfacing and localisation, providing an incremental route to an integrated EPR solution.
"Lorenzo Care Management incorporates the Viaduct SOA [service oriented architecture] integration suite. Similarly, Viaduct has not been shown at a public event before.”
ISoft will also be launching new branding at the event. Its new brand -‘Humanising Healthcare’- is aimed at demonstrating the company’s ambition to make the experience of healthcare more personal and tailored to individuals.
The company is inviting those attending E-Health Insider Live ’09 to celebrate the launch at a champagne reception at the iSoft stand at the exhibition at 4:30pm on Monday, 9 November.
Adrian Stevens, managing director of iSoft UK and Ireland, said: “E-Health Insider Live ’09 is a major event in iSoft’s UK calendar this year.
“It is the perfect forum for showcasing the latest developments in healthcare IT, and we are pleased to be a supporter of this event from the outset. It will be the key date in the healthcare calendar for many years.”
Executive chairman and chief executive officer of iSoft, Gary Cohen, will also be presenting a keynote speech at the conference, whose principal sponsor is BT.
In a speech entitled ‘A vision for NHS clinical systems’ on Tuesday 10 November, Cohen will argue that software innovations are transforming the delivery of healthcare in terms of quality and cost.
