COA wins £3.6m NHSScotland deal
COA Solutions has won a £3.6m contract to supply all 22 Scottish health boards with a comprehensive portfolio of financial, procurement support, business intelligence and document management software solutions. This ‘Health Business Suite’ is being implemented as part of a drive to achieve shared services working throughout NHSScotland. The planned completion date for fully implementing the new system is March 2009.
Imperial College selects Manpower software
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has selected Manpower Software’s MAPS Healthroster solution for trust-wide deployment following a comprehensive tender process. Manpower says the Trust will use the system to manage its nursing workforce. The new contract win takes the total number of the company’s NHS Trust customers in England and Wales to 32.
Perot Systems say 2007 Revenue Cycle Solutions contracts collected over $2 billion
Perot Systems Corporation has announced that they won more than 90 Revenue Cycle Solutions contracts in 2007, resulting in the collection of over $2.4 billion in cash and the resolution of over $4.6 billion in accounts receivable for their healthcare provider clients.
Connecting for Health re-launch sections of website
Connecting for Health has re-launched sections of it website. The NHS Classifications Service section of the website has been merged with the Intervention Classification material, to form one unified and updated area, as the definitive source of clinical coding guidance and the Pathology Messaging section has also been reorganised and restructured into a more helpful format.
Wireless Healthcare launch new report
Wireless Healthcare has published a new report “Health 2.0 And Telecare For The Elderly”, which claims there will be a growth in telecare services over the coming years as elderly people become more technologically-minded. The report highlights the current problems faced by elderly diabetes sufferers, when they attempt to use home telecare devices.

BlueWare upgrades Wellness Connection system
BlueWare has launched an enhanced version of Wellness Connection with added benefit, workflow and functionality. Version 4.0 will have a new Web 2.0 look and feel of the screens. Designed with ease of use in mind, Wellness will also use a horizontal tabbed system with a full screen display and no scrolling. This new version will be available June 2008.
AG Neovo launches ER-19 monitor, endoscopy colour LCD display
AG Neovo, designer and manufacturer of visual display products, has announced the launch of the ER-19, an endoscopy colour LCD display. The ER-19 monitor is a 1.3-megapixel display to meet the most demanding surgical requirements. With high image quality, accurate colour reproduction, excellent contrast capability, and high brightness, it has been specially designed for operating rooms, video endoscopy carts, and other medical settings.
