Carestream boost European presence

Carestream Health have signed five deals covering five countries for its Carestream Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS). 

The company has signed contracts covering an undisclosed number of hospitals across the continent to install the solutions over the next few months.

In addition, a number of healthcare providers have purchased the Kodak Carestream Information Management Solutions to provide them with enterprise-wide management of images and data and the Kodak Directview computed radiography (CR) systems for digital capture of medical x-ray exams.

Among the latest European healthcare providers to award contracts to Carestream are Belgium’s Hopital Universitaire Erasme, based in Brussells; Germany’s OsteMed Klinik Beremervörde and Zeven, part of the Sana Hospital Group and Diagnostic Image Center,

The group already use Carestream PACS and CR solution in some sites, and this will be the third installation of the systems.

Finland’s Seinäjoki Central Hospital Region have also ordered Carestream PACS and Professional Services for two hospitals and several regional healthcare centres.

Another recent contract win is Portugal’s Grupo Português de Saúde, based in Lisbon, which has ordered Carestream PACS, Professional Services and Information Management.

Headquartered in Rochester, New York, Carestream Health operates in more than 150 countries worldwide and owns more than 1,000 patents in digital imaging, film and imaging chemistry.
