In 2013, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust became one of the first trusts nationally to introduce Sunrise Electronic Patient Record (EPR). Since then, it has continued making strides in its digital journey: optimising and enhancing the EPR with documentation and tracking board enhancements and embedded decision support, integrating clinical systems, embedding information sharing across care services, and investing in digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and intelligence-led care.
With a steadfast focus on patient safety, LHCH clinicians shape its EPR and digitisation initiatives—using technology to reduce risk, improve efficiency and deliver the highest quality care.

In just a few years, LHCH has become 99.9% paperless. It has also been ranked third in Cheshire and Merseyside for digital maturity and was rated “Outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission, which was the first time a specialty trust earned this rating. LHCH is currently top in the country in the Care Quality Commission’s National Inpatient Survey, which is the ninth time LHCH has earned this distinction in the last 12 years.

Join this webinar to learn more about how the trust:
    • Adopted digital excellence and continually look to improve care
    • Became top-rated for digital maturity and achieved HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6
    • Transformed into a nearly 100% paperless hospital
    • Identified clinical leadership as being one of the key factors in its EPR success
    • Implemented closed loop medication administration
    • Continues to further pioneer innovation and advance use of technology to become an EMRAM Stage 7 hospital in the near future
