The latest edition of Movers and Shakers includes appointments at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust and the Dedalus Group as well as a departure at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
First up, Dr Edward Prosser-Snelling has been appointed chief digital information officer (CDIO) at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
DrĀ Prosser-Snelling, who is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the trust, took on the board-level role in August 2022.
Heather Caudle has left her role as chief nursing information officer (CNIO) at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Caudle left the trust at the start of September 2022.
William Monaghan has joined University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust as its first-ever CDIO.
Monaghan joins Derby and Burton from NHS England, where he held the role of transition director and director of operations in the organisationās transformation department.
Monaghan brings with him more than 14 yearsā experience gained within the NHS, including across NHS England, NHSX and acute trusts.
He said: āItās a privilege to be joining University Hospitals of Derby and Burton as Chief Digital Information Officer and a board member. I am excited to help deliver the digital strategy and lead the use of new digital technologies and approaches to better support colleagues to deliver exceptional care for patients.ā
Electronic document management software company, IMMJ Systems, has appointed Jon Pickering as its new CEO.
Pickering was previously CEO and founder of healthcare specialist Block and has experience working in the technology sector coupled with a track record of successfully scaling businesses within the healthcare sector.
He said: “It is great to join such an exciting and ambitious team. It is an important time for the NHS, and more specifically hospitals, as they continue to digitise.
“Having previously worked in UK healthcare for more than ten years, I am passionate about the sector and will ensure IMMJ continues to have a positive impact across the NHS.ā
The Dedalus Group has announced that it has appointed Rachel Dunscombe as its chief industry advisor.
The former CEO of the NHS Digital Academy has also served as director of digital at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. Within this role she was responsible for the digital strategy at Salford which included improving the trustās Care Quality Commission (CQC) quality rating.
She said: āI am delighted to join Dedalus which I believe has a unique opportunity globally to digitise healthcare in an open and agile way. I am looking forward to working with the talented and driven teams in order to increase the positive impact of digitisation on healthcare systems.ā
Paul McCann has joined Ascom UK as its new managing director for the UK and Ireland.
He joins the company from KPMG and previously spent 18 years with Johnson and Johnson in a range of senior leadership roles. He has also worked in multiple healthcare disciplines including diabetes, orthopaedics, and general surgery, throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Healthcare analytics company C2-Ai has appointed Dr Mike Roberts as its new international medical director.
Dr Roberts, who has a background in emergency medicine and cardiothoracic surgery, has worked in both the NHS and in New Zealand, where he has held chief medical officer and medical director roles for more than 15 years.
He will now work to help expand how C2-Aiās products are used by healthcare providers ā for both new and existing customers.
Steve Mackenney, CEO at C2-Ai, said: āWe work with some of the most forward-thinking hospitals in the world when it comes to using data in effective ways to improve healthcare provision for patients.

Andy Haywood has joined Channel 3 Consulting as a managing consultant.
Before joining Channel 3, Andy was a board member and chief information officer at the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust where he was responsible for the delivery of digitally enabled services. This included the introduction of a new electronic patient record, the rollout of personal tablets to paramedics, delivery of a new 111 website and improvements to 999, emergency medical and patient transport services.
He said: āI am passionate about delivering meaningful change through technology and am genuinely thrilled to join Channel 3 at a time when the need to digitalise the health and care sector has never been greater.
“We made huge leaps forward during the pandemic but the crisis is still here. We need to accelerate the rate of change, rather than return to the norms of 2019 and before.”
