Ruth May to keynote Digital Nursing Stage at Rewired 2022

NHS England and Improvement’s chief nursing officer, Ruth May, has been confirmed as the opening keynote for the new Digital Nursing Stage at Digital Health Rewired 2022. 

Taking place on 15 and 16 March, Rewired 2022 is a two-day in-person conference and exhibition designed to reconnect people from all parts of the digital health community.

Speaking live from London’s Business Design Centre, Ruth will argue that digital and data now needs to be on the agenda of all the 50,000 nurses and midwives in England and forms a central part of the development of the profession. 

Earlier this year she announced a £52million funding boost to fast track the provision of online maternity records to ensure everyone has access to their maternity notes and information electronically by 2023/24. 

The Digital Nursing Stage, new for 2022, will focus on the fantastic range of work underway to ensure nurses at all levels take the lead in ensuring digital tools and services benefit all patients.  

The programme will showcase digital nursing leaders, teams and initiatives from across the NHS. All the conference sessions will be CPD accredited. 

Joining Ruth at Rewired 2022 is an impressive line-up of national and local NHS leaders shaping the UK’s digital health future.  

They include Simon Bolton, CEO, NHS Digital; Helen Thomas, the inspirational CEO of Digital Health and Care Wales; Dan West, CDIO Department of Health Northern Ireland; and Professor David Rosser, CEO of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.  

A fantastic mix of exciting innovators have also been recently announced including Mridula Pore, co-founder, Peppy Health the 2021 Rewired Pitchfest winner; Dr Tom Whicher, founder, DrDoctor; and Jacob Haddad, co-founder and CEO of AccuRx.  

The main Rewired conference tracks will be National Policy, Digital Transformation, AI and Data, Integrated Care and Smart Health. 

Rewired 2022 is open to the NHS and social care providers, suppliers, start-ups, innovators, policy makers and patients.
