Online Registrations – Digitising Patient Registrations into General Practice
Patients often struggle for various reasons to register with a GP and there is no standardised approach to register with a GP. Across North East London, we have developed an online portal for any patient living in the region to have a consistent online registration experience. This is based on the GMS1 registration but makes it very easy for patients to register with their local GP.
Join us to:
– Learn how this was achieved and how this could be replicated elsewhere.
– Discover the unique approach taken for the portal and how it differs from all other attempts that have not been as successful.
– See the latest data showing the numbers of patients who have registered as well as what the next iteration may look like.

The Reasonable Adjustment Flag Project – an NHS Long Term Plan commitment.
Under the Equality Act 2010, organisations such as hospitals and GP surgeries must take steps (“reasonable adjustments”) to remove the barriers individuals face because of disability. As part of the NHS Long Term Plan, by 2023/24, a ‘digital flag’ in the patient record will ensure staff know a patient has an impairment, such as a learning disability, autism, or a long-term condition. Hear from the national project team and from South West London CCG as this important project is rolled out across the UK.
This session will help you understand:
– What does the flag do?
– How a flag can be accessed.
– What progress had been made in early adopter sites in London.
– How to get involved in this project.

Joining up the urgent care pathway across London -pandemic & beyond – from an Ambulance Service perspective.
With a 300% rise in calls to our 111 service and a rise in 999 calls from around 5000 a day to a peak of over 11,000 calls by the end of March, Stuart Crichton, London Ambulance Service Chief Clinical Information Officer, will discuss how the organisation used the London Care Record to deliver safe and effective Patient Care. The London Ambulance Service has been working in a paper-based environment for many decades. In 2019/20, during a global pandemic, they launched a new patient care record system and a pan London Health Information Exchange (London Care Record). These two systems have accelerated the clinical opportunities for colleagues and citizens of London.
Stuart will discuss the future opportunities that the Trust is pursuing to join up urgent care pathways across London.
