Excl: Livi acquires practice communication service MJog

Digital healthcare company Livi has acquired practice communication service MJog, we can exclusively reveal.

The acquisition will mean the pair can support practices by bringing a range of new benefits such as integrated video technology for in-practice appointments and a host of triage and patient management tools.

Livi currently provides over 4 million patients with access to digital healthcare across the UK through its partnerships with GP practices, Federations PCNs and CCGs.

This latest announcement forms part of the company’s long-term commitment to digital healthcare in the UK, building on the digital partnership with Boots, which was announced earlier this year.

Juliet Bauer, Livi’s UK managing director, said: “Livi and Mjog are natural companions. We have a shared vision to give GPs the tools they require to deliver modern, flexible care, in a simple and seamless way for patients.

“Whether a patient sees their GP in a remote or physical setting, digital tools have a crucial role to play in easing the pressures on local practices, while at the same time giving patients more ways to access the care they need – be that through video, telephone, text, online or face-to-face.”

MJog, which is used by over 4,000 practices to communicate with 30 million patients in the UK, connects surgeries with patients using a variety of tools including digital app, SMS, email and voice messaging.

By bringing the two companies together, Livi and MJog will be able to support NHS practices by providing new ways for patients and GPs to connect, improving access to healthcare, delivering a better patient experience and creating real cost savings for practices and CCGs.

Kevin Nutt, CEO of MJog added: “We believe great access to healthcare is about making it easy for patients and doctors to communicate with each other.

“We are therefore delighted to be working with Livi to develop new ways to make healthcare more accessible for all.”
