Norfolk and Waveney ICB publish tender worth £1.25m for PHM solution
- 4 June 2024
Norfolk and Waveney NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) has published a tender for a population health management (PHM) digital solution, with an estimated value of £1.25 million to £1.42m.
The tender, published on 30 May says that the ICB and its partner stakeholders require “a digital solution to support their programme of designing and delivering improvements to population health and wellbeing outcomes, now and for the future, which will be flexible over time as requirements and capabilities change”.
It adds that the digital solution “must provide bespoke data analysis, technical solutions and digital platforms” to underpin the ICB’s strategy and “support the prioritisation and delivery of interventions”.
According to the tender, the solution must have the ability to risk stratify cohorts of population in line with Norfolk and Waveney’s identified priorities and opportunities, and must support the delivery of interventions at system level.
It continues that the ICB wishes to enable access to and use of PHM information “at all levels, across NHS and wider partners within the Integrated Care System (ICS) to support a strategically aligned approach to population health”.
The five-year contract is set to start from 1 October 2024, with applications open until 11 July 2024.
In August 2023, Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative announced that it had selected MEDITECH as the supplier for its new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
The collaborative comprises Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.
A press release published on 21 August 2023, said that the EPR system is a “major milestone in the Norfolk and Waveney ICS’s digital roadmap, which promises investment in technology and the rollout of more digital tools to enhance care across the region”.
