👫 Digital health firm Holly Health is partnering with Loughborough University and the Modality Partnership to deliver its multimorbidity digital self-management app called Prevent. The collaboration has secured £447,000 from Innovate UK for an 18-month project starting in May 2024, which will focus on patients aged 40-65 living with multimorbidity and those who are at risk.
📟 East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is expecting the K2 Maternity EPR to go live in June 2024, according to board papers from a meeting on the 1st May 2024.The electronic maternity health record is for all clinical documentation and will enhance the care and communication expectant parents receive.
🐶 UK digital pharmacy Pharmacy2u has acquired the PharmPet Co, an online veterinary pharmacy for an undisclosed sum. The deal follows a partnership between the two companies in November 2024, which saw them unite to with the aim of delivering pet prescriptions more conveniently and cost effectively.
🧠 DrDoctor has announced a new integration partnership with Access Rio EPR, which it says aims to help improve mental care administration. The former’s patient engagement platform will integrate with the EPR to streamline and optimise workflows.
👩 TenU, an international collaborative that aims to increase the societal impact of research, has teamed up with investors and professional service firms to launch a founder-friendly blueprint which aims to boost UK software spinouts. The blueprint provides recommendations that support faster deals with less friction and rapid upscaling opportunities. The USIT for Software Guide launched on 20 May 2024.

According to a report from Virgin Media O2 Business, published in May 2024, more than a third of NHS professionals surveyed believe there will be a decade-long wait for digital equality across the NHS. The report predicts that by 2030, 8% of the population will still be digitally excluded.
