Egress buys health data specialists Stalis

Egress Group has acquired health data migration specialist Stalis to enhance its ability to offer complete, end-to-end data management expertise to healthcare providers.
Stalis, founded in 1984, is a long-standing specialist in healthcare data migration and data quality expertise, as well as archiving solutions.Ā The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Stalis’s specialities are complemented by Egress Groupās proven track record delivering multiple healthcare system integration and interoperability programmes.
Recent Stalis projects include West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
Egress Group have expertise in system integration and data migration across healthcare, as well as working across the public and private sectors.
Egress Group has significant system integration and interoperability experience, proven in a number of recent NHS transformation programmes. These include East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trustās move to Cerner and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trustās Epic implementation.
Egress says that together, the two companies offer true, end-to-end data management services and solutions, from strategic reviews and readiness assessments, data migration, system integration, archiving and data quality, through to advanced analytics for proactive and predictive care.
Joe Rooke, CEO at Egress, told Digital Health News that no redundancies or staff reductions were planned to follow the deal.Ā Egress has 45 staff, with Stalis adding a further 30.
Stalis will continue to operate as Stalis, with a complete focus on healthcare. No organisational changes are planned and all the senior leadership team, including Kate Bryan as MD, are remaining in post.
Rooke said the combined USP of the new group āis end to end data services ā strategy, migration, interoperability, archivingā.

She said joining Egress would better enable the two companies to offer customers end-to-end data services, āWeāve seen more tenders where trusts want data migration and integration togetherā.
