KPMG to sponsor Digital Health AI and Data skills session on data literacy

KPMG has been announced as the sponsor of a session on data literacy at Digital Health’s AI and Data 2023 event, which will take place at London’s Business Design Centre on 30-31 October.

The global accounting firm sponsor a session on Navigating data literacy and closing the digital skills gap on Day Two of the conference. Yusuf Ermak, partner, Data and Analytics and Fayaz Tirmizi, director, Healthcare Data & Analytics at KPMG will join Ruth Holland, deputy CIO at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The session will explore the intersection of data literacy and workforce challenges and examine the significance of cultivating data literate staff to bridge the skills gap and tackle prevailing obstacles.

It aims to offer participants strategies for nurturing a continuous improvement culture and empowering their teams with skills such as the Analytics Learning Programme (ALP) that can help them to thrive in a data-driven era.

Ermak said: “Every organisation, public sector or private, is chasing after people with the same digital skills, exacerbating the digital skills gap that exists. To address this gap you have to have the right training.

“There are lots of highly talented and skilled people within organisations who are ready to be trained and developed in line with changing and evolving organisational needs.

“One of the wonderful things about people is our boundless capacity to learn things and acquire new skills – so why not take full advantage of that? If you want to address your digital skill gap, believe in the people you have already and invest in the right training to develop them.”

AI and Data will bring together health professionals, researchers, analysts, data scientists and start-ups, for educational sessions and best practice case studies on the latest and best examples of data science, AI and analytics in action across UK healthcare.

The AI and Data programme runs across two stages over two days. The AI stage is focused on latest developments in the safe development, regulation and deployment of AI tools in health.

The Data stage will explore key projects and themes including health data research platforms, research and analytics, security, governance and consent.

Also participating in the AI and Data conference are headline sponsors Favom and Nuance, who are joined by major sponsors and exhibitors including KPMG, dfine and FD.

AI and Data is from the organisers of the market-leading Digital Health Rewired and Digital Health Summer Schools events.

All sessions are CPD accredited. AI and Data is free for the NHS, public sector, start-ups, charities, education and research. Commercial tickets start from £275+VAT. Register here.
