Nourish Care integrates with Ally acoustic monitoring
- 7 August 2023
Nourish Care will now be able to monitor its patients, thanks to an integration with Ally, which will use sound and motion detectors.
The Ally acoustic monitoring systems analyses sound and motion from within a care home resident’s room at night to deliver insights into sleeping habits, behaviour and overall health. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to identify risks, help prevent falls and to flag any potential health issues such as urinary tract infections.
Customers who use both platforms will now be able to link their systems meaning any significant events recorded in Ally will automatically be displayed in Nourish alongside daily care records.
Thomas Tredinnick, CEO and co-founder of Ally, said: “We are hugely excited to integrate with Nourish as this represents another step forward to help care homes provide better care outcomes.”
He continued: “By syncing our data with Nourish, care teams will have more time as well as better insights leading to even greater outcomes. I’m excited to see how together we can push to eliminate falls and preventable hospital admissions as we continue to empower care teams.”
Independent assessments by the NHS in the past two years have highlighted how Ally can lead to a 55% reduction in falls, a 20% reduction in hospital admissions and also free up time for night staff by as much as 40%.
The Ally system alerts staff as soon as residents require care, limiting the need for night staff to undertake regular checks, that are both time consuming and can often wake residents.
The integration with Digital Social Care Records further enhances best practice and fosters greater person-centred-care. This is in line with Nourish Care’s whose digital care planning platform provides the tools needed to improve outcomes with more person centred care.
Steve Lawrence, head of product, Nourish, said: “Our aim is to assist care teams in adopting innovative, preventive care models that minimise the risk of falls and enhance care outcomes by linking our two systems. By presenting timely and relevant data, we will provide greater insight into shared intelligence and enable greater operational efficiencies.
“We are eagerly anticipating seeing the benefits of this partnership for providers and the people they support, and collaborating with Ally to further enhance the functionality of our integration and drive innovation.”
Nourish Care has also recently teamed up with Lilli to help support local authorities and care providers in the successful implementation of digital social care records and services designed to help prevent falls.
