The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Digital has welcomed the arrival of a new chief digital information officer (CDIO), with Rich Corbridge taking over from Simon McKinnon.

Corbridge, formerly of Boots, joined DWP on 11 April and will oversee the shaping of the organisation’s digital strategy moving forward.

Former NHS Digital chair, Noel Gordon, has joined the PLMR Healthcomms Strategic Advisory Team, bolstering their digital health expertise. He took up the role in March and will sit on the Strategic Advisory Group alongside the firm’s other expert advisors.

Speaking about the appointment, Sara Bristow, head of PLMR Healthcomms, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Noel join PLMR Healthcomms’ team of Strategic Advisors.

“He brings a wealth of expertise around digital health and the wider healthcare space, as well as skills and experience which will help to deliver for our clients, and support PLMR Healthcomms in the next step of our journey.”

Diane Hull is leaving her position as chief nurse at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust after being appointed as the new executive director of nursing, allied health professionals and quality at Nottinghamshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Former NHS England national director Dame Pauline Philip has been appointed as a non-executive director on the board of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust.

Sticking with Guy’s and St Thomas, the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation has appointed Emma Davies as chief investment officer to manage a £1 billion charitable endowment, which is made up of a diversified portfolio of investments, land and other properties.

South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB) has appointed Philippa Kirkpatrick as CDIO. Philippa has previously held senior leadership roles in the Australian healthcare system.

She successfully delivered the Epic electronic patient record for the Australian Capital Territory and has led numerous digital programmes, taking them from strategy development to procurement, through contract negotiation to implementation. She will join the ICB in June.

Hospital Services Limited (HSL) has appointed Steve Leatherland as regional director of operations in Great Britain, following investment in the company’s growing GB footprint, which includes a new headquarters in East Midlands, England.

Long-standing expert on the health tech, med tech and life sciences industries, David Hancock, has become an associate of Highland Marketing, a marketing and communications agency specialising in healthcare technology, med tech, life sciences and clinical research.

In his new role, David will support clients of the specialist digital health agency that need advice on market entry or positioning, so they can communicate effectively with IT leaders at every level.
