This month’s Digital Health Unplugged focuses on delivering digital mental health care and how technology has been used during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tune in to hear from Dr James Reed, psychiatrist and CCIO at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and chair of Digital Health’s CCIO Network, and Prof Joe McDonald, psychiatrist and medical director at Sleepstation, and CCIO Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.
Like many services, mental health has been forced to go digital-first during the Covid-19 pandemic. But the tools to do so have always been there, it’s been uptake that has slowed the digital transformation process.
Dr Reed and Prof McDonald, who have been champions of digital mental health care for years, talk through how their organisations have reacted to the onset of Covid-19, what uptake of digital services have been like and how digital services can benefit patients as well as clinicians.
We also take a look at how digital services should be implemented and what the future of mental health care looks like.
