Orion’s Colin Henderson appointed UK health boss for DXC
- 18 October 2017
Colin Henderson, former boss of Orion Health UK, has been confirmed as DXC’s new general manager for the company’s Healthcare and Life Sciences.
Henderson, who has been with Orion Health since 2010, takes over at DXC from Philippe Houssiau, who has left DXC.
A DXC spokesperson told Digital Health News “DXC Technology confirms that Colin Henderson will join DXC as general manager for the company’s Healthcare and Life Sciences business in the UK&I region. Colin joins DXC Technology from Orion Health, where most recently he was acting executive vice president for the EMEA region.”
Gary Birks took on the role of UK and Ireland manager for Orion in February this year when Henderson took on the strategic VP EMEA role. Orion begins its UK and Ireland user conference in Birmingham tomorrow.
The DXC spokesperson added: “The previous general manager for Healthcare and Life Sciences UK&I, Philippe Houssiau, is leaving DXC to pursue other opportunities. We thank him for his contributions to the company.”
Houssiau had been at DXC, formerly CSC, since 2013. In a 2015 interview with Digital Health he described his mission as detoxifying CSC and its Lorenzo product in the aftermath of the NHS National Programme for IT.
Earlier in his career Houssiau was a senior executive at Agfa, working alongside Andrea Fimucelli, who since 2008 has been the long-serving vice president and general manager, healthcare and life sciences at DXC, previously CSC and previously iSoft.
