IMS Maxims used at Care UK centres

Healthcare provider Care UK is using software from IMS Maxims for its three diagnostic centres.

The centres in Rotherham, Havant and High Wycombe have implemented the browser-based patient management software to run their diagnostic services, which include x-ray, ultrasound, echocardiograms and MRI.

IMs Maxims said the solution’s Choose and Book module meant healthcare staff could manage the patient journey. The system also incorporates appointment scheduling, correspondence and performance monitoring.

Jardine Barrington-Cook, head of business systems at Care UK, said Choose and Book compliance was a key priority – as was the system’s integration with Pukka-j’s picture archiving and communications system and radiology information system.

He added: “IMS Maxims ensured the solution design met our functionality objectives, was responsive to the needs and working patterns of both clinical and administrative staff users and could be implemented seamlessly.”

IMS Maxims said its web-enabled software had already been implemented in Care UK’s mobile clinical units, which rotate around seven sites in Greater Manchester providing musculoskeletal, general surgery, ENT, gynaecology and urology assessment and treatment services.

Shane Tickell, chief executive officer for IMS Maxims, said the company’s tailored products were designed to accommodate changing and increasing demands as services evolved.
