EuroKing Miracle may be bought by HSS

EuroKing Miracle today announced that it expects to conclude negotiations to be purchased by Healthcare Software Systems Ltd (HSS), the radiology information system specialists.

In an announcement issued after E-Health Insider yesterday reported the company faced imminent liquidation, Euroking Miracle said that it expected to be acquired by HSS. No details were provided of the terms of the deal or price.

In a statement issued to EHI by EuroKing Miracle, Mark Sprigg, CEO of HSS was quoted as saying: “A combination of best of breed applications will provide excellent synergies allowing both organisations to leverage each other’s technology to provide a superb clinical solution”.

In the same statement, Joe Lamberty, MD of EuroKing Miracle, said believed that EuroKing Miracle “were in need of a partner to aid in their continuing growth and development”.

EuroKing Miracle faces an action brought by HM Revenue and Customs to wind up the company. The case is due to be heard next week.

EuroKing Miracle is a supplier of Maternity Information Systems in the UK and Ireland, the company claims a leading market share.

HSS Ltd has been providing RIS systems for more than twenty five years. The company says its CRIS product is a market leader and has been sold into more than 175 sites nationwide, making them the largest independent RIS and BSS software provider.

Lamberty added: “We are extremely pleased that we have found a dynamic, forward thinking organisation in HSS to take EuroKing Miracle to the next stage in its development. I feel that this is a very positive move for the products, staff and most importantly our customers”.
