  • 15 July 2009

Doctors.net.uk has signed a deal with pharmaceutical customer relationship management specialist Cegedim Dendrite, to integrate its OneKey data system into the clinician professional network.

Cegedim Dendrite said it has signed a three year contract with Doctors.net.uk for its OneKey database and consultancy services, to enable better targeting of pharmaceutical and medical education content at members of the portal.

Doctors.net.uk is a professional network for UK clinicians said to include the majority of UK doctors. The network provides extensive clinical content including online education, conference highlights, user-generated content and discussion groups.

As a result of the partnership with Cegedim Dendrite Doctors.net.uk will be able to standardise data sets, and provide its customers with enhanced abilities to compare pharmaceutical and medical data that was previously held in different silos.

One of Doctors.net.uk main revenue earners is to provide pharmaceutical firms with access to targeted clinician audiences, through online medical education programmes, surveys and e-detailing approaches.

Carwyn Jones, head of pharmaceutical at Doctors.net.uk, said: “This partnership with Cegedim Dendrite will be of benefit both to our customers and to our members. For instance, we will utilise the latest data to further refine and tailor the content that is targeted at specific groups of doctors.”

David Round, UK general manager at Cegedim Dendrite said the new longer term deal built on work over the past few years on individual projects. “The feedback we have had from them has been excellent, and the results to date are very positive. We look forward to continuing our work with Doctors.net.uk to the benefit of all within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.”
