NHS Wales invites feedback in Polish
- 28 August 2008
NHS trusts in Wales are used to working in two languages but now North Wales NHS trust has gone one further and translated an online questionnaire into Polish.
The number of Polish people in the area has grown rapidly, bringing requests for information to be translated.
The questionnaire asks people to rate their experiences of their local hospitals and covers such areas as communication, cleanliness and people’s overall experience.
In a statement the trust said: “Polish is recognised as one of the most commonly spoken languages in the local area after Welsh and English and it was felt that the direct nature of the online facility would be the best option to open up to members of the local Polish community.”
