  • 26 March 2008

Details of the European Union-backed ‘e-Health without frontiers’ conference to be held in Slovenia, 6-7 May, have been belatedly been released.

The event, which will be held in Portoz, Slovenia, will focus on the theme of e-Health without frontiers. The e-health conference coincides with Slovenia holding the presidency of the EU Council

The conference is the sixth in a series of high-level e-health conferences that have taken place across Europe since 2003.

Topics to be highlighted include: collaborative work being done on good practices in e-health, the focus on cross-border healthcare provision, ongoing proposals on e-health interoperability, and the work on integration to be undertaken in the future in the prospective e-health large-scale pilots and new telemedicine initiatives.
