Brent goes live with Graphnet drug action team solution

DATs, across the UK are responsible for drug strategies for adults and they have report to the National Treatment Agency to obtain funding. The new system, developed by Graphnet, enables reporting for DAT funding purposes and case management functionality.

The system incorporates the recording of assessments, care and discharge plans. Graphnet says an extra strength of the system is the ability to collect additional information to the core data set. 

Brent DAT Manager, Sile Mawjes said: “Before Graphnet, monthly waiting times were reported with many discrepancies and the validity of data sent to us was questionable.  We wanted a system that could collect and report real-time data, and for us Graphnet’s DAT system was the key.”

Graphnet has worked closely with Brent PCT, the DAT team and other involved agencies to develop their solution in a project overseen by project management consultancy, Apira.

Apira’s IM&T director Geoff Broome commented: "The Graphnet solution is scaleable, easy to deploy and incorporates information from existing IT systems. This project is about improving data quality and maintaining continuity of care across the agencies.”

Roger Everitt, Graphnet’s primary care director said, "Our browser based DAT solution is flexible and can be configured to local requirements. A rigorous security model enables information to be shared across agencies whilst respecting confidentiality.
