Apollo partners with Microtest

  • 18 December 2003

Apollo Medical Systems Ltd have announced an agreement with Microtest Ltd, an IT supplier to the primary health care market, which will see Microtest use Apollo’s remote audit toolkit A3 in Primary Care Trusts (PCTs).

A3 will form Microtest’s preferred solution for PCTs to enable them to meet the information requirements set out in the new GP General Medical Services contract.  The remote audit tool is claimed to be fully automated and deliver clinical reports such as those needed for National Service Frameworks and reporting on clinical governance.

Craig Smith, managing director of Apollo Medical Systems said, “Apollo’s A3 solution, unlike some of its competitors, will not only support GMS contract requirements but will greatly complement the central system in assisting the area of clinical management and appointment data management.”

Chris Netherton managing director of Microtest Ltd added: “This alliance is a further demonstration that the collaboration between suppliers can be successful in support of the Department of Health’s need to implement the newly negotiated GMS contract and the wider framework of clinical management.”

In November Apollo Medical Systems announced a similar partnership arrangement with primary care systems supplier EMIS.
